Last updated 16 September 2026. What is actually built, what is not yet audited, and how to reach a human if something blocks you.
Averon Systems wants this site usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. This page states where that stands honestly rather than claiming a certificate we do not hold.
Where we stand
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means we have built to that standard deliberately, but no independent audit has been completed, so we cannot claim full conformance. We would rather say that than publish a compliance badge nobody verified.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are published by the W3C and are the standard US courts reference. The US Department of Justice adopted WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the required technical standard for state and local government websites in its April 2024 Title II rule; no equivalent technical standard has been issued for private businesses. We use it anyway because it is the only meaningful benchmark available.
What is built in
- Keyboard navigation throughout, with a "Skip to content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, rendered
on
:focus-visibleso they appear for keyboard users without adding outlines to mouse clicks. - Reduced-motion support. Animation, the background atmosphere layer and scroll effects are disabled when your system requests reduced motion.
- Labelled landmarks — navigation, main content and footer are real landmarks with accessible names, so a screen reader can jump between and within them.
- Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology rather than announced as meaningless nodes.
- Light and dark themes, both honouring your system preference, with an explicit toggle that persists your choice.
- Semantic headings and real tables, so structure is navigable rather than visual only.
- Text contrast targeted at the WCAG AA ratios, measured rather than eyeballed, in both themes.
- Automated checks on every page, in both themes. We measure tap-target size (SC 2.5.8), text and non-text contrast (SC 1.4.3, 1.4.11), heading structure and landmarks (SC 1.3.1), skip-link targets (SC 2.4.1), tab order (SC 2.4.3) and focus visibility (SC 2.4.7) against the built site rather than the source. Last run 16 September 2026: 11 pages, no failures outstanding. These are our own tests, not an independent audit.
What we know is not done
- No independent audit has been performed. Everything above is our own testing.
- No formal screen-reader test matrix. We have not systematically verified against JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver.
- Embedded third-party content is outside our control. The scheduling widget is provided by Cal.com and rendered in its own frame; we cannot fix its internals, and if it blocks you, use the email route below and we will book the call for you manually.
- Video captions. Where this site carries video, caption coverage is not yet complete.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site stops you doing something, email contact@averon-systems.com with the page address and what happened. Say it is an accessibility problem in the subject line and it gets priority.
We reply within two business days and will tell you either how it is fixed or when it will be. If a fix takes time, we will give you the information or complete the task another way in the meantime — by email or over the phone — so nothing on this site is a dead end for you.
